I was creating custom stingers for OBS using DaVinci Resolve ran into two issues that I wanted to share the solutions because I know I'm not alone in experiencing these.
I was rendering a stinger video that had a black background but when I used in OBS it was a dark grey, which didn't match the other graphics I was using. Bummer!
Solution: Good thing it was an easy fix... In Resolve Render page, open Advanced Settings and change Data Levels from Auto to Full. Boom you're done!
p.s. You need to export using Custom Export, with these settings for stingers to work properly in OBS.
I made my stinger the same resolution as my canvas size... 1080x1080 but when I used the stinger, it didn't stretch all the way, leaving a few pixels on the right that showed whatever was behind it.
Solution: From Resolve, render your stinger as 2x the size. For example, instead of rendering as 1080x1080, I rendered as 2,160x2,160. Easy as that!
This was had me confused for a bit, luckily this is another easy fix.
Solution: In your stinger properties, adjust your Transition Point. You'll need to play with the timing, but click "Preview Transition" to see what it looks like to nail your timing.
